The Rod Laver Arena has some of the hottest tournaments, games, concerts, and special events around. But to make sure it’s fun for everyone, there are a few rules that you have to follow.

Make sure you read the rules below so you know what to expect. They will help you avoid any issues during your visit to the venue. Please note that some events may have slightly different rules and management reserves the right to modify their rules for each event.

Accessibility Policy

The Rod Laver Arena is dedicated to providing as many appropriate accommodations as possible. This includes reserved accessibility parking, accessibility seating, and plenty of ramps so wheelchairs can maneuver.

Bag Policy

Backpacks and Bags are not allowed in Rod Laver Arena.

Camera Policy

NO professional cameras (still or video); personal cameras acceptable. No Audio or Video recordings.

If a specific event has an exception, then it will be noted if you call the venue to ask.

COVID-19 Related Policy

The Rod Laver Arena requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result to attend a concert at The Rod Laver Arena.

  • Attendees aged 18+ have received two or more doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine, or have valid proof of medical exemption, to attend events at the M&OP precinct.

Guests will be required to provide proof of vaccination (or exemption) to enter the venue.   

  • You can add your COVID-19 digital certificate to the Services Victoria app through MyGov or the Express Medicare Plus App.  
  • Proof of vaccination can also be shown through the Medicare app, or your smartphone wallet. You can also present a printed copy of your digital certificate or immunisation history statement, or evidence of a valid exemption.

Lost and Found Policy

Lost something during your visit? Then please check with event staff during the event for information on where lost items are sent. You can also try calling the venue at (03) 9286 1600 after the event to check if anything was found or turned in.

Please be sure to give your complete contact information as well as a detailed description of your lost item(s).

Mask Policy

The Rod Laver Arena requires that masks be worn at all times unless you are eating or drinking.

The following items are not allowed in the venue.

  • Bags that don’t align with the bag policy
  • Bottles, Cans, Coolers & Liquid Containers
  • Food & Beverage (Including Alcohol)
  • Illegal Substances
  • Fireworks & Other Projectiles
  • Recording Devices, Video Equipment
  • Electronic Devices
  • Weapons of any Type (Including Pocket Knives & Firearms)
  • Large Chains & Studded Bracelets
  • Laser Pointers & Aerosol Cans
  • Noise-making devices (i.e. horns, whistles, air horns, cymbals, bugles, thunder sticks, etc.)
  • Large Banners, Signs, Sticks & Stickers
  • Two-Wheeled Motorized Devices
  • Other Items as Required by Event Promoters

These could be subject to change per the artist request. The venue reserves the right to adjust the items on this list.

The Rod Laver Arena reserves the right to search anyone, and their belongings, who enter the premises.

Re-Entry/Entry Policy

Generally, re-entry is not allowed.
